Celebrating the last day of Summer 2008

Cody and Daisy celebrated the last day of summer at the beach yesterday!

Lots of swimming, running, making new friends, and... fishing for seaweed? Cody was very proud haha

The kids ran around like they've never been outside before! I love seeing the excitement in their eyes!

We left the house for about an hour to go play tennis last night and when we got back, there was a murder scene upstairs!!! Patrick, the cutest blue, curly sheep, had been murdered!

Cody was trying to sniff for evidence on who did the crime... Hmmm... Where's Daisy?

Yesterday we went to the 3rd annual Dog Surf Contest at Del Mar, and there we found Cody's long lost twin! haha and no, that is not Cody below:

i was trying to be sneaky and take a picture of them side by side, but when they met, they immediately wanted to play with each other and the picture would have been impossible to take!

The Cody and Daisy Olympics

Cody and Daisy were inspired by the recent Olympics that they decided to hold their own competition in the backyard. Here they are in the 100m dash!

Labor Day Beach Day!

What better way to celebrate Labor Day than going to the beach? The kids couldn't think of a better way. Here's Cody making a b-line straight to the water:

Daisy was a little hesitant. She didn't want to get her pretty hair wet. She later caved in.

These kids can't wait for Labor Day to be over because the day AFTER Labor Day is the first day they can run around the beach offleash until summer again. Woo- hoo!!
