Defeated!

For those of you who are queezy when it comes to gross things... Ta-da! Remember the shot of Cody's butt a few blog entries back? Well, the other day Cody got an allergic reaction on his skin and he decided to bite that sucker to death. So we took him to the vet today... and they shaved his butt and put antibiotics on it! Poor butt!


and of course... Cody had to get a satellite dish around his head so he won't bite at it. This must be the worst day ever in his whole entire life! He looks so defeated!



Maybe if I just close my eyes really hard, it'll all just go away...

Dad thought the satellite dish needed some decoration and added a sticker...

Cody is NOT having a good summer so far... First, he gets into a fight and now has a pink scar over his nose, and now he's got a shaved butt, an open wound, AND a lamp shade over his head!

Should I Stay or Should I go?

Inside or outside? How about both?

One step at a time...

Yesterday we got Cody to go on the very first step into our swimming pool. Today was even better. We got him to go on the second step!!! and that's where he stood for a whole entire hour while we swam and played in the pool. I wasn't sure if he liked it there or if he was too scared to move anywhere haha

Welcome Summer!!

Yesterday was the first day of summer, and boy did it feel like it! Cody LOVES LOVES LOVES summer and today he celebrated by laying out in the sun:

This is the closest he's ever gotten in the pool by himself! Someday... he'll want to jump right on in and we wont be able to get him out... someday...

Battle Scars

Poor Cody! While in LA on Tuesday, i got a phone call from his school saying that he got into a wee scuffle with another dog. Apparently the other doggie got Cody's nose... and Cody got the other dog's ear... Cody hopes his nose scar heals quickly since summer is here and he wants to look good for the ladies at the beach.

Car Ride!

Cody wishes that we have one of them 1980's station wagons with the bench seating in the front. He would fit perfectly right in the middle! Instead, he has to lean forward in between us and just pretend...

Even doggies have lazy Fridays too. I couldnt get this guy up this morning (or myself haha)!

We're home!!

yay! we're finally home! the wedding was fantastic and our honeymoon was even better! and Cody Bear was the happiest puppy on earth when i picked him up from "summer camp." We're lucky that he wasnt mad at us for leaving him for 2 weeks. but we thought we'd take him to his favorite place in the world to cheer him up and to make sure he doesnt get mad at us haha.

of course, he HAD to do his signature greeting when arriving at the beach:

While we will be away for our wedding and honeymoon, Cody Bear gets to spend two weeks at "summer camp." I'm sure he'll have fun and make lots of friends. I just hope he doesnt think we've abandoned him... and i hope doesnt pick up bad habits from his new friends hahahaha

Sorry for the delay in updating Mr. Bear's blog! We've been busy planning our wedding (it's next week!) so i apologize for neglecting the taking of pictures of our little one...

Today i gave Cody a bath in the morning and after hours of air-drying in the sun, i decided to brush the cutie. I cannot believe how much hair came out!!! i think Cody was hiding a pomeranian on his body!

Cody thought it would be funny to give his best Donald Trump impersonation... What do you think?

Or is he suffering from "only child syndrome?" mine, mine, mine!!! Cody likes to show off that he can carry more than one object in his mouth... Sometimes i think he just doesnt want anyone else to play with his stuff...

To continue Cody's summer- like Sunday, we took him to Dog Beach, where he made momma proud! I have never seen Cody tackle waves so hard before! Even the guy in the background was cheering for him! haha

Cody never used to go in the water if it went past his belly. This guy made mommy and daddy proud by jumping in and doggy paddling around! See, even daddy was showing mommy from afar what the Bear was doing with his paws!

Feels like summer!

This weekend was HOT!!! and The Bear LOVES LOVES LOVES it when its hot. One of his favorite things is to lay out in the sun:

A Beautiful Sunday!

The weather forecast called for rain today. Man, were they farther from the truth! This is what Cody did so far on this beautiful Sunday morning/afternoon.

First off, Cody got to play with his girlfriend, Kobe from 2 houses down. He likes older women...

and then we played tag in the backyard... he was determined to get me!

and finally, he helped Dad mow the lawn by telling Dad if he missed a spot haha

the day is only half over! i wonder what other trouble Cody will get in today!

Possessed or alien?

(sorry for the bad picture quality- cell phone cameras... geesh!) i got home from LA last night and my cody bear was soooo excited to see me! so i had to play with the pup for a bit and i gave him a BIG hug. Elbert thought it was so cute of us so he decided to take a picture of us with his cell phone... and then the truth came out! i dont know whether to run far far away or just accept the fact that i will be exploring outer space soon, meeting the leader of this unknown planet...

Sweet Dreams!

a hot day at school today, i was told that Cody played in the pool all day and ran around with his friends... First thing he did when we got home... right next to his new march madness toy he got this weekend.

Today was officially "Cody Day"

First thing in the morning, we took Cody to the beach where he ran around like a crazy dog! doesn't this picture look like he's rabid? maybe he is crazy, just like mom!

We then headed to Pipes cafe to have brunch... sorry for the crotch shot, but it was just too cute to see Cody's head pop up to see what we were eating... he did get the occassional sausage and scrambled egg droppings...

We then headed to PetSmart and got him some new toys and a new, meaty knuckle bone!

whispering sweet nothings in the sheep's ear... he learned that from dad...

man, and it wasn't even his birthday today... we just thought he deserved to be spoiled for the day. :)

What Cody did behind my back...

I was probably on my laptop for about an hour last night when I finally decided to turn around to see what the Bear was up to... Man, was i surprised! This is starting to become a common sight these days hahaha
